A man of "Earth, Fire & Water", I gather up the earth in water to create the form and function of my Art. The Methow Valley's natural tones, landscapes and animals provide the inspiraton for my decoration on my functonal pottery.

I make both functional pottery as well as one of a kind sculpture in clay. For larger outdoor pieces, concrete is the medium of choice.
Pottery classes are offered for both adult and elementary kids throughout the year.

For the sculptural pieces I like to enliven the pieces using "Fire". Utilizing various kiln firing methods, I manipulate molten glaze in color and texture. "Raku", "Saggar" and "Salt" are some of the processes used.

I have a passion for helping other people enjoy their creative expression through clay. Teaching helps me nuture that passion. I work in the local schools to provide the students with hands on experiences in clay through the "Artists in Residences" program. I also offer pottery classes to adults and children three times a year. Call me if you are interested.
